Welcome back to the tenth week of the Year of Brew! We’ve officially hit double digits, HYPE. And with St. Patrick’s Day in our midst, what better way to celebrate than with a mono green deck that (I assume) loves to drink and loves to fight!

Deck 10: Mono Green

Anthousa, Setessan Hero is an underloved commander, with only a mere 58 decks on EDHRec. But with such a fierce and badass queen portayed in her art, we had to give her some love. “Ladies is pimps too”, as the immortal Jay-Z once said. And this lady loves to fight.

We want to trigger her Heroic ability as much as possible, so what better way to target our Setessan Hero than with spells like Clear Shot , Ancient Animus , and Cartouche of Strength to help clear the way for our newly animated lands.

Speaking of lands, we want to animate as many as possible by target our Anthousa every turn, sometimes multiple times a turn. So to make sure we’re ready to rouse nature, we have an extensive ramp package running all the staples and also some Exploration effects so we can accelerate our forces even quicker. And then, if our lands fall in battle, we can bring them back with multiple Crucible of Worlds effects.

Like St. Patty’s day, this deck is simple but fun. Anthousa is an underrated general and Heroic is an underappreciated mechanic.
